Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award
The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, recognizes a graduating medical student and a faculty member who exemplify humanism in medicine. This prestigious honor celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional clinical excellence alongside remarkable compassion and respect for patients, their families, and colleagues in healthcare. The awardees are selected by M4 members of the UMMC Janette Pullen, MD, chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. This year, the recipients are Dr. Rahat Noor and Mr. Chris Glasgow, MS4.
Dr. Noor serves as an Associate Professor in the Division of Hospitalist Medicine and as an Associate Program Director in the Department of Medicine. Mr. Glasgow, a senior medical student and four-year Class President, is set to begin his Anesthesiology residency at UMMC in July. Congratulations to both of these distinguished individuals for earning this well-deserved recognition!
